Orlando, FL
RV Rental in Orlando, FL
Seven RV rental companies serve Orlando, and nine more sit within easy reach. The average rating is 4.2, with a handful of high performers. You'll find motorhomes (5), camper vans (3), travel trailers (3), and one outfit offering one-way rentals. Three deliver to you, which matters if you're flying in and don't want to Uber to a lot. I've rented four RVs over the years, including one that smelled like a wet dog and another that charged me extra for generator hours I didn't know about. Here's what I'd check before booking.

What's available
The mix runs toward motorhomes (5 companies), then camper vans and travel trailers at 3 each. If you want a one-way rental, only one company advertises it, so book that early and ask about the drop fee. Three companies deliver to you, which saves a trip to the lot. Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental has the most reviews (500) and a 4.9 rating, but it only does travel trailers. Avanti Campervans has a perfect 5.0 from just 19 reviews, so it's small but promising. El Monte RV Rentals has 296 reviews and a 4.4, a solid middle ground. Road Bear RV Rentals offers unlimited miles, which is worth asking about if you're doing a loop through the state.
Know the fees
Mileage and generator hours are the two add-ons that bite. Some rates include unlimited miles, others charge per mile after a daily allowance. Generator use can be metered separately, sometimes with a daily cap. Ask for the total with taxes and fees before you pay the deposit. The security deposit is usually a hold on your card, not a charge, but it can be substantial. Insurance is often an extra daily rate, and your personal auto policy may or may not cover a rental RV. Check with your insurer before you sign. Pet policies vary by company, so confirm if you're bringing a dog. Kitchen and linen kits are usually optional add-ons, and they save space if you're flying in.
When to book
Summer and holidays fill up first, especially for motorhomes with bunks. If you're set on a specific floor plan, reserve a few weeks ahead even in shoulder season. For one-way rentals, the drop fee can be steep and availability is thin, so call rather than relying on a website. Delivery is handy if you're staying at a resort or a relative's driveway, but confirm the delivery window and whether there's a fee. The top-rated outfits here have hundreds of reviews for a reason, and the smaller ones with a handful of reviews can still be good. I'd read recent reviews for any company before putting down a deposit.
